Bangladesh

This is a place that has been near to our hearts for years. Our good friends James and Tripti Halder who are locals in the Gopalganj area have been who we have worked with for many years now.
We have helped them build a church on their property, and now have outgrown that area and are actively working with them to build a new church and mission on the property that we helped them purchase early 2026 (Praise the Lord).
They have a huge heart for reaching the children in Bangladesh and developing leaders that will in turn train up more leaders.

Government: Unitary parliamentary republic.
Religion: The population is predominantly Muslim (~91%). Other religions include Hinduism (~7.9%), as well as small percentages of Buddhism and Christianity. 

The Halder Family

The Halder family is special as we have supported them for going on 10 years now. They have a powerful testimony of how they came to Christ and also how James and Tripti met, giving up much to be together. Their hearts are centered on serving and seeing especially children reached for the Gospel. It is hard in Bangladesh, as they have an anti-conversion law that inhibits some forms of evangelizing. But it also gives way for a deeper knowing of Christ. James and Tripti use creative ways to reach children and also minister to adults.

They continue to reach into their community to advance the Gospel to this day. 
They are greatly excited and expecting great things for the coming years ahead as they work to build an orphanage/mission/church on the property that has been purchased.

Current Prayer for Bangladesh

Prayer Need 1

Pray that God would bring the right people alongside James and Tripti there in Bangladesh to help them accomplish everything that has been placed on their hearts.

Prayer Need 3

Destined for Bangladesh is a small mission team heading there the first week of December to help them on the ground from training their leaders, encouraging the children with Christ centered lessons, and helping with clearing/prepping the land for construction of the mission/guest house. $15,000.00 left to raise for the trip.

For God's constant protection in everything that they do. For favor when speaking and working with people in their area. Protection from persecution and renewed fervor to advance the kingdom.

As James and Tripti work expand their work it will come with many changes and needs fulfilled. Please pray that all provision comes in for the construction of all the projects. $94,000.00 left to raise. 
Destined for Bangladesh (Mission trip 2026)
Mark Phillips and Michael Krier will be going to Bangladesh for a 7-day trip the first week of December.
We want to accomplish several things on this trip and believe that together we can.
$2,000 Buy a Toto (Like a three wheeled taxi/car for James and Tripti to travel where needed, they sold their motorcycle this year to help cover their family expenses.) 
$1,500 Buy Instruments and repair their current ones 
$3,000 Buy the items needed to help Tripti open a shop to help raise money for their family and church.
$1,500 Train James and Tripti existing leaders on servant leadership for 2 days.
$0 Host a live event on the purchased property, hopefully helping them build the Mission.
$5,500 Tickets there and back.

Buy the plot of land that will house the orphanage, mission, and church.
