How it all started...
How it all began was 2 people choosing to listen to what God was planning for their life...
It was not easy nor was it what they had in mind, but God, he sure had different plans. Mark and Whitney Phillips were seeking God on what their next steps were to be. They had some plans of going to different towns and seeing if they were to plant a church in those areas, and while they were on their way to the second town it became very clear that where they were heading was not where they were to go.
God revealed to them that they were to start a church that would start other churches, not campuses. And from that they heard clearly that they were to do it in their home. They began planning and setting things in motion to launch the church. God began providing all the things needed to launch and before the first Sunday (June 7, 2026) we were given a spot in downtown Anderson, MO where we were able to launch our first Sunday and have been there since.
From the very beginning we made it known that our mission as a church is not to fill seats, but to go and find those that need to be in the seats and then prepare them to launch their own church.
For all those that come and join become apart of this journey of training and sending out.

Expanding the vision...
One of our very first outreaches was geared toward reaching the lost, through a hearty meal, raising funds for the church, and encouraging those that have joined us to make a commitment to go beyond just serving, but serving to fulfill their purpose.
Each person is designed to fulfill the purpose their Creator has given them and we believe that everyone has a purpose.
Some are to serve in the local church, others to prepare for its expansion, and some to give up everything and hit the mission field.

Where we are headed...
We at Destined believe that the future is filled with leaders of all backgrounds and different walks. Training the next generation to walk in all that God has in store for them and helping them develop their gifts and talents to start their journey whether they have 1 day left on this earth or 60 years ahead of them.
